2007年，中国的综合国力进一步增强，人民生活水平进一步提高。中国继续加强同世界各国的交流与合作，并努力推动建设持久和平、共同繁荣的和谐世界。祖国每一项成就的取得都浸透着人民的心血与汗水，同样也有海外学人的参与和贡献。祖国的发展和壮大需要海外学子、华人华侨的支持，同时，海外学子、华人华侨也需要一个强大的祖国作坚强的后盾。希望你们珍惜在美国学习、工作的机会，不断充实自己、提高自己，以良好的形象向美国民众展示中国留学生的风采，以自己的实际行动为祖国做贡献。

2008年，第29届奥运会将在北京举行。这是亿万中国人民的骄傲，是全世界炎黄子孙的骄傲，也是全世界爱好和平人民的骄傲。中国人民将以最大的热情、尽最大的努力，让北京奥运会成为增进中国人民同世界各国人民友谊和相互了解的盛会。希望广大的海外学子能够利用这次机会，向你们的美国朋友宣传北京，宣传奥运，用你们的实际行动来支持奥运，让世界了解中国。

中国驻纽约总领馆始终关注着大家，总领馆教育组也一直以为广大留学生、海外学者服务为己任，力求为大家解决一些实际困难和问题。今后我们将继续努力，不断地完善这方面工作，为大家提供更好的服务。
